Supply Chain: What July Taught Us, What's Ahead for SMEs in August

News - Intro image

July gave us a chance to look closely at an issue many manufacturing SMEs live with daily without always pausing to talk about it: the supply chain.

We looked at how CVDM facilitates matchmaking between buyers and suppliers across the Canadian ecosystem, why diversifying sources remains one of the most concrete ways to reduce risk exposure, and how a concrete example from Ontario reminded us that this resilience is also about people, not just suppliers.

The thread running through these three angles is simple. Resilience isn't built under pressure, it's built ahead of time, through better connections and a better understanding of one's network of partners. That holds true regardless of a company's size or sector.

In August, CVDM's attention turns to another growth lever for Canadian manufacturing SMEs: diversifying markets and business partners. How to broaden your horizons without complicating your operations, and how industrial matchmaking can open doors you might not have explored on your own. We'll pick this up in the first days of the month.

Until then, the CVDM team wishes you a wonderful summer.
