Succession isn’t something you prepare alone
Succession is often treated as a private matter, settled between an outgoing owner, a buyer and a few advisors. In reality, a successful transition also depends on everything around the business: its suppliers, its customers, its partners and the networks that open doors for it.
A new owner arriving with fresh ideas needs to get known quickly. An entrepreneur just starting out needs to find the right people without spending months looking. That’s where an ecosystem can play its part, simply by making the right connections easier to make.
What’s ahead this month
Throughout October, we’ll share stories of succession and fresh starts from across the ecosystem, perspectives on what works (and what gets stuck) in transitions, and useful resources to help you prepare.
We’ll also see you on the ground: at SIQ Québec (October 6 to 8), MTL connecte (October 13 to 16) and the STIQ Journée Donneurs d’ordres (October 27, Laval).
