On June 24, Québec celebrates. Flags fly, families gather, and for a few hours, we allow ourselves to breathe. It's a holiday that belongs to us, deeply rooted in who we are.
This year, the Fête nationale arrives at a particular moment. The National Assembly adjourned on June 12. The political summer begins. In a few weeks, parties will seek a mandate, ideas, a vision for the Québec of tomorrow. And in the meantime, in factories, workshops, and warehouses across the province, the machines keep running.
The manufacturing sector doesn't take a break.
That may be what defines it best. The Québec manufacturer is a long-game builder. They don't wait for good news to act. They navigate tariff uncertainty, workforce pressures, productivity challenges, and they keep innovating, exporting, delivering.
The numbers confirm it: despite a demanding economic context, Québec's manufacturing exports exceed 105 billion dollars. Markets are diversifying, toward Europe, toward Asia, toward new partners. This is not the portrait of a sector that gives up. It's the portrait of a sector that adapts.
A summer for building connections.
Summer months, often perceived as a slow period for business, are actually a precious window. Less noise. More space for real conversations, the ones that lead to lasting partnerships, concrete introductions, and projects that take shape quietly before emerging in the fall.
