Ottawa and Quebec jointly announced this week $900,000 in funding for Graphie, a La Pocatière-based manufacturer specializing in precision metal transformation and industrial identification. A project totalling $1.25 million that will support the expansion of its facilities and the acquisition of new equipment: a press brake, a laser cutting machine, and a robot.
CVDM is pleased to highlight this news. Graphie is part of our ecosystem through the Réseau de la transformation métallique du Québec (RTMQ), a CVDM partner association.
With increased manufacturing capacity, reduced production times, and stronger responsiveness to transportation and defence markets, Graphie will be even better positioned to meet the needs of current and future partners. This kind of investment naturally opens new collaboration opportunities within the ecosystem, and that's exactly the kind of dynamic CVDM is here to support.
For SMEs looking to pursue a similar path, the funding came from three accessible and complementary programs: DEC's CERI program, Investissement Québec's grand V initiative, and the ESSOR program. Those resources are worth exploring.
Congratulations to François-Olivier Morin and the entire Graphie team on this important milestone!
